This shirt holds a ton of memories for me. We were staying in Philly while on tour, in a house where 2 of the 4 members of Algernon Cadwallader lived. There was a kiddie pool full of water in front of the couch to soak your feet in while playing video games, we had snuck into a semi-private pool in Yardley the night before, which had a couple of waterslides in it, and had feared for my life as about 10 of us rode unsafely in a van 90mph down the interstate. We ate vegan french toast for breakfast and put some hot sauce on it (which ruled) and ate several pounds of fruit someone had brought home from their work. We were leaving to go to Brooklyn that day, and Peter, Micah, and I hand painted and screened these tshirts while Ben and Jake played Weezer covers. There are only 15 or 20 of these shirts, but what I like the most about it is that its a shirt for a band that I'm not in and I got to make it myself. This shirt makes me want vegan cheesesteaks.

11 - Sparrows Swarm and Sing
Sparrows Swarm and Sing were perhaps one of the loudest bands I have ever seen for how quiet their music is considered to be. The last time I saw them they took up 3/4ths of the room with their mass of musical equipment, two drumset, multiple stringed instruments and a backline of amps. This is actually my favorite shirt that I own. I wear it as often as I can because I like the color and the design and every time I put it on I am in a good mood automatically.

10 - Dragline
Dragline. This shirt is one of the only band tshirts I where I have never seen the band play. In fact, I actually have met one person in the band and he's pretty rad (and I think speaks for the others). My friend Aaron mailed me this shirt along with their last 7" before they called it a day. Everyone always stares at it trying to read the text below the head, which does in fact say the band's name.

7 - Tragedy
Tragedy is a dbeat/punk band from the northwest. This shirt is pretty awesome, I think Chubbs has the same shirt as me and we sometimes wear it on the same day and then look like twins. Except not at all. I like the giant wolf print on it though, it makes me look tough even though I'm not whatsoever.

6 - Black Cross
Black Cross will always be one of my favorite Louisville bands. I bought this shirt at a show maybe 5 years ago at Keswick Democratic Club. It has weird bleach looking stains on the front/back (in the same spot) that were on it when I bought the short. Weird.

4 - Mountain Asleep
Mountain Asleep are some totally sweet dudes from Louisville who play an interesting mix of mathy music, emotional lyrics, and fun times. I've had the privilege to play shows, tour, and do some guest spots on their records. I think they're probably one of the best bands from Louisville ever and I firmly believe they are bringing back fun shows for the kids. I think this shirt is one of the first runs of them, I got it at "This is Ours Fest" in Peoria, IL when Nice People and Mountain Asleep played. It probably needed to be heat set more before I washed it as the print is kinda faded but whatever, it rules and makes people say "Is that NELLY on yr shirt?"

3 - The Locust
The Locust are one of the most insane bands ever, and pull off their schtick and awesome time and tempo changes live. I bought this shirt a long time ago and hate it on warm days because the white circle is thickly screened and it sticks to my chest. I have been so busy today I just got around to updating this.

2 - Lords
Lords are three piece from Louisville. This shirt is actually one, if not the first tshirt design they ever had. It's not as raunchy or as many colors as a lot of their current ones and its pretty simplistic. I'm sure a few of you figured I had already given up but I'll go ahead and admit on days that I have to get up early I tend to wear whatever shirt I slept in until I come home and shower. Whatever, judge if you will.

1 - They and the Children
They and the Children were are loud and heavy hardcore band from Connecticut. It started with me booking a show for them and another band from CT, and ended up with them staying at our house for I think 4 days total. This seemed to happen quite a bit with bands considering how centrally located Louisville is to most other cities they may be playing in. So we did some hanging out, threw some night bee (aka a frisbee with a glowing light in it) across the street we lived on and ate a whole lot of food. Really awesome guys and their band shreds too, its a shame they broke up last year.
